Crip Theory Facilitation
I led a discussion on Crip Theory and its relevance in combating ableism within higher education. I delved into its principles and applications, focusing on its significance in creating inclusive environments for all students, including those with disabilities. By offering real-world examples of how Crip Theory has been utilized in practical applications within the US, I aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of how Crip Theory can be applied in different settings. I also encouraged peers to act by engaging with initiatives like the Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp and advocating for accessibility in higher education.
